Each summer The Block Island Poetry Project celebrates the summer with a one-day festival in the backyard of The Hygeia House, a welcoming expanse of green on a hill with a fabulous view of The Great Salt Pond. Summerfest 2007 will be even bigger, bolder with an exciting line-up of poets and musicians who will bring their collective talents for an unforgettable afternoon. Join us for poets Jay Leeming, Lisa Starr, Jen Lighty, Joya Verde, and Kate Dietz. Music by Poetry Project Favorites The Frantzich Brothers, Stevie Lightnin' and Friends, Cameron Greenlea, The Reprobrates, and drum-poet John de Kadt. Admission is $10.
